At 2:15AM EDT on March 14, 2015, Ann Gilstrap Nickel lost her fifteen month battle with cervical cancer. By her side when she died were her husband, Ken Nickel, her oldest daughter, Jennifer Kreisler, and her brother, David Gilstrap. She is now in a better place and is no longer suffering from the cancer and the multiple sclerosis that she dealt with for some thirty years.
