PANTON, Charlotte M.(Moyer), age 71 of Beavercreek, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Friday, January 29th, 2016. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Roger Panton; son Blake and daughter-in-law Kris Panton, grandchildren Colin and Alex of Seattle, Washington; daughter Lauren and son-in-law Anthony Fleury, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvannia; sisters Barbara Faigin (Marty) and Debbie Moyer Hinchliffe (Daniel) of Washington D.C., and many nieces and nephews. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Dorothy Moyer. She was born April 10, 1944 in Parkersburg, West Virginia. As a young child, she moved with her family to Wichita, Kansas, where her father worked as lawyer. She graduated from East High School in 1962, and from Wichita State University in 1966 with a degree in Education and a major in Spanish and French. Before her children were born, she taught language arts in the Fairborn city school system. Later she owned her own business restoring cane furniture. She also worked for the Beavercreek Daily News in sales and Wright State University in administration. Charlotte was longtime volunteer with the Beavercreek Historical Society where she helped with many activities, including acting as head of publicity for the organization, and was closely involved with the annual Living History and Heritage Day celebration. She was involved with many other volunteer activities within the local Beavercreek schools. Charlotte was very creative and loved to work with her hands, sewing, gardening, even learning guitar in her later years. She was an extremely generous person, always thinking about the needs of her family. Charlotte possessed an openness to adventure and a playful sense of humor, which she shared often with her grandchildren. Charlotte was a long-time member of Peace Lutheran Church attending weekly until her passing. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 5th, 2016 at Peace Lutheran Church, 3530 Dayton-Xenia Rd., with interment to follow in Mt. Zion Park Cemetery. The family will receive relative and friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd at Grange Hall Rd from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Thursday, February 4th. .
